While we've had our aprons used for all kinds of different projects and professions, book publishing wasn't something that immediately came to mind! Luckily, Riverhead Books reached out to us about something they were working on called Riverhead Table.
They asked us if we would be interested in collaborating on a new apron design to outfit their team for this new dinner series. Each dinner would focus on a menu inspired by one of Riverhead's books, and all of their fans could participate. We threw around a lot of ideas for the aprons, and settled on our classic Reggie Bib in Stone Duck Canvas. The pocket would feature a one of a kind screenprint to be created by our awesome guys at Raygun Printing in Brooklyn. The finishing touch is a custom designed woven label that was hand cut in Vermont.
Jones of Boerum Hill has a large dedicated factory in Manhattan's Garment District that produces most of our aprons, but sometimes we do smaller custom jobs in-house.
The finished product, photographed for Riverhead Table's first dinner series, inspired by
The Paying Guests, by award-winning novelist Sarah Waters.
