Jones Of Boerum Hill Teams Up With Ralph Lauren For Denim Apron Design!

November 12, 2019

The team here at Jones of Boerum Hill are very excited to announce that we’ve been collaborating with none other than world-renowned fashion house Ralph Lauren to come up with some denim apron designs for the brand’s newest Ralph’s coffee shop opening in the Flatiron District of Manhattan.

We were asked to design and manufacture a new apron for their Ralph’s coffee shops, aprons that will soon be available for sale in-store so you can take home a piece of Jones of Boerum Hill (JOBH) when you get your coffee to go!

JOBH co-owner Iestyn Jones had this to say about the partnership: “It was an honor for both Deirdra and me to be asked to design these aprons as we are both massive Ralph Lauren fans and also customers.

“The Ralph Lauren brand is one of the most iconic in the world, led by one of America's greatest ever designers, so with that in mind, we sourced all the components from within the US for this apron and we proudly manufactured it in downtown LA. The staff love their new aprons, telling me how proud they are to wear an all-American product.”

Ralph’s Coffee has a global presence, with stores to be found in Hong Kong and Tokyo, as well as on the Upper East Side in New York.

The Flatiron branch opened its doors earlier this year, with the team from the coffee brand explaining that the “bustling energy” which defines lower Fifth Avenue is the perfect foil for the “fresh and authentic spirit” of Ralph’s Coffee, the ideal place for the company's first freestanding outpost.

Here’s what Ralph himself had to say about his venture into the wonderful world of caffeine: “The smell of freshly brewed coffee evokes so many memories for me. Most of the time spent with friends and family, the people I love. I wanted to develop these coffee blends in that spirit, and create a place where people could come together and take a break from their busy days.”

As well as serving up the likes of Ralph’s Coffee, Espresso and American Breakfast Tea, the store is also the first one to offer its customers an Espresso Tonic, which features three shots of espresso, tonic water and a slice of orange.

The special blends of coffee that the brand uses feature organically grown beans hailing from Central America, Africa and South America, roasted and packaged in the US by La Colombe, and decaffeinated using the all-natural Swiss Water Process.

Hungry customers can also enjoy freshly baked sweet treats at The Polo Bar, including Ralph’s Brownie and Ralph’s Chocolate Chip Cookie. And there are plenty of opportunities for some fashion inspiration as well, naturally, with signature tote bags and graphic T-shirts available as well.

While there, keep an eye out for our newly designed aprons, which were put together in collaboration with the Ralph Lauren design team before being manufactured at our factory in LA, using our Indigo denim and US-sourced components.

The staff aprons themselves have been branded with the Ralph’s Coffee x JOBH collaboration label - and we think we can all agree that they look incredibly dapper, complementing the signature green of Ralph’s Coffee to perfection.
